As many of you know, we had received a letter from the DOR deeming us essential.
Yesterday we received this from the NC Board of Massage:
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has provided guidance to the North Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) regarding interpretation and implementation of Governor Cooper’s Executive Order 120. The memo from DHHS states that "medically prescribed massage therapy" is allowed. Therefore, during the effective dates of EO 120 and any subsequent executive orders from Governor Cooper that are applicable, LMBTs who have applied for and LMBTs who have received a designation as an “essential business” from the DOR may provide massage therapy services to clients who have a prescription from a medical provider. Pursuant to EO 120, all other massage and bodywork therapy services provided by LMBTs shall cease until at least May 8, 2020, unless the date is amended by another Executive Order from Governor Cooper or if made more strict by the county in which you practice. The Board understands the Governor will be lifting restrictions in phases. When the Governor acts, the Board will provide more information on how those phases and restrictions will affect massage and bodywork therapy establishments and massage and bodywork therapists returning to practice.

It appears we may see clients with doctors notes. Right now, Scott & I are the only 2 that I believe are ready to come back. We are currently in the process of reworking some details to be able to prepare to reopen. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions in regards to things that would make you feel safer and more secure in our office.
Thanks for all your support,
